SteerMouse vs. USB Overdrive

I use Logitech mice, because they rule. I have a corded MX 510 at work, and its wireless equivalent MX 700 at home.

I’ve been using USB Overdrive for quite a while, but there was one thing I wanted to do: Assign web browser zoom (or assign something, anything) to scrolling while clicking and holding the scroll wheel.

Today, via Daring Fireball’s linked list I found SteerMouse, which does everything USB Overdrive does, but in addition lets me assign a function to clicking and scrolling the wheel. Yay!

Note, however, that SteerMouse does nothing for your joystick or gamepad, as far as I know. But if you only need to configure your mouse, SteerMouse wins over USB Overdrive, simply because of the click-and-scroll option.
