December 8, 2006: Firefox 2.0: Tabbing into dropdown lists again!
Wherein I gain back keyboard access to form elements!

For a long time, I’ve been annoyed that Firefox at some point lost the ability to tab into drop down lists and other form controls. (When you live in Norway, the easiest way to select it in the abysmally long country lists is to select the list, press ‘O’ (for Oman) and arrow up once.)
Of course, in Firefox, nearly everything can be configured. The trick is just finding the correct value in about:config—keeping in mind that they might not even be in there in the first place.
Such was the case with the required value to gain back tab focus on all form elements: accessibility.tabfocus
In about:config, right click and select New -> Integer, type ‘accessibility.tabfocus’, and give it the value 3, and tab’s your uncle.
